It's also been said that the secret to happiness is in helping or serving others. When I think about it, there is certainly something fundamentally satisfying in seeing when I've had a positive, even practical, influence on someone else's life. That in itself becomes a basic motivator for action in harnessing my own strengths or skilling up/shaping up to increase my own potential ... so that I can live longer and healthier to do it (help others) all over again in a bigger better way.
