So What Exactly Does Coaching Involve?
It’s tough for me to give you a finite answer on that as each client is different and the work we do together would naturally reflect that. To give you an idea though, we’d start out with an initial ‘chat and assessment’, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds. It’s a great opportunity to lay out a broad plan of what you’d like to work on in the coming months, and for me to help you fine-tune the details of that vision. This first session would also give me a good idea of where you’re at in terms of motivation, knowledge, and practical ability to achieve your goals. This in turn would allow me to plan for our future sessions and know how best to guide and support you. Future sessions would involve a combination of short and long-term planning and discussion of your progress as well as anything else that might have come up in your life.
What Sort Of Results Can Coaching Guarantee You?
If you’ve ever worked with a trainer or a coach in the past you’ll know that it’s not an area that allows a results guarantee. What I will say though, is that the clients I’ve worked with to date have been extremely happy with the progress they’ve made (as you will have read in the testimonials!), and in some cases have achieved goals they’d previously labeled impossible or hadn’t even dreamed of. One thing I’ve noticed is that coaching tends to attract people who know they have the potential to achieve anything they choose to. They’re just not sure how to go about it, or they recognize the need for accountability, for instruction, or simply for support. I’m actually such a person myself, which is why I’ve always had a coach or mentor of some kind in my life, even if I only work with them once every couple of months. Sometimes it’s as simple as having someone to bounce ideas off and assist you in collecting your thoughts.

How Often Do You Have To Do Coaching For It To Work?
This is entirely up to you and I don’t ask for any upfront commitment. In your first session we’ll lay out a rough 6-12 month plan, and from there we can decide what sort of support structure would best suit you. Some people find they benefit incredibly simply from letting it all out once every month or two, while others prefer a more structured approach allowing us to set and mark off specific monthly and weekly targets. I’ve had excellent results working with people once a week for their first month, and then switching to every two or three weeks after that, but this is something we can decide on the fly.
Do You Need To Be In Melbourne?
Absolutely not. While face to face sessions are always nice if possible, I have several clients to whom I consult using a combination of phone and email support. If you are in Melbourne we’ll most likely meet in a central location such as a café.
